Mahendra Perera (born 17 August 1956) is a famous Sri Lankan actor who has worked in movies, stage dramas, and television for many years. He was born in Mount-Lavinia, Sri Lanka, and studied at Thurstan College in Colombo. Mahendra is known for acting in many different kinds of roles, including serious characters and comedy parts.

Mahendra began his acting journey in the late 1970s and made his first film appearance in Sakwithi Suwaya (1978) where he played a small role. Over time, he became one of the most influential and respected actors in Sinhala cinema.

He has acted in many well-known Sri Lankan films, including:
